قام المهندس أيمن فوزي عرب رئيس الشركة القابضة للمطارات والملاحة الجوية بزيارة تفقدية لمطار سفنكس الدولي، وذلك في حضور الطيار أحمد منصور رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة المصرية للمطارات وعدد من قيادات المطار.
وتأتي الزيارة في إطار الجولات التفقدية التي يقوم بها المهندس أيمن عرب للوقوف على حركة التشغيل ومتابعة معدلات الإنجاز بمشروعات التطوير بالمطارات المصرية.
وقام عرب بتفقد صالات السفر والوصول ومنطقة الجوازات وخط سير الحقائب واستراحات كبار الزوار وبوابات السفر والوقوف على مراحل إجراءات التأمين وتطبيق آليات السلامة.
وخلال الزيارة أكد المهندس أيمن عرب على ضرورة الإهتمام بتطبيق أعلى المعايير الدولية في التشغيل للارتقاء بمستوى الخدمات المقدمة للمسافرين، خاصة وأن مطار سفنكس الدولي يستعد للافتتاح الرسمي بعد انتهاء أعمال التطوير ورفع الطاقة الاستيعابية، تزامنا مع افتتاح المتحف المصري الكبير ولخدمة مشروعات التطوير الهائلة التى تشهدها منطقة الأهرامات بالجيزة، والتي من المتوقع أن تشهد إقبالا سياحيا كبيرا الفترة المقبلة، مما يخلق فرصا واعدة لمطار سفنكس لجذب العديد من شركات الطيران العالمية سواء بتشغيل الرحلات المنتظمة أو الشارتر، بالإضافة إلى الدور الذي سيلعبه مطار سفنكس في خدمة المسافرين من أبناء المحافظات المتاخمة لمحافظة الجيزة مثل محافظات الفيوم وبني سويف والمنيا والمنوفية ولتخفيف الضغط على مطار القاهرة، بالإضافة إلى خدمة المطار لمدن غرب الجيزة والمناطق الصناعية والتجارية بالمحافظة والمشروعات الزراعية بالصحراء الغربية.

Eng. Ayman Fawzi Arab, Chairman of the board of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, paid an inspection visit to Sphinx International Airport, accompanied by Pilot Ahmed Mansour, Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, and several airport leaders.
This visit comes as part of the inspection tours conducted by Engineer Ayman Arab to assess the operational flow, monitor and maintain excellence in development projects at the Egyptian airports. During the visit, Arab inspected the departure and arrival halls, passport control areas, baggage routes, VIP lounges, and departure gates, while also reviewing security measures and the application of safety protocols.
During the visit, Engineer Ayman Arab emphasized the importance of applying the highest international standards in operations to enhance the level of delivery and development of the services provided to passengers. Sphinx International Airport is preparing for its official opening, after the development work and the Airport’s capacity upgrade, which coincides with the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and aims to support the major development projects at the Pyramids area in Giza. This area is expected to attract a significant tourist interest in the upcoming period, presenting promising opportunities for Sphinx Airport to attract many international airlines, whether for scheduled or charter flights.
Additionally, Sphinx Airport is expected to play a key role in serving travelers from governorates adjacent to Giza, such as Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, and Menoufia, helping to alleviate pressure on Cairo Airport. Furthermore, it will serve the cities at west of Giza, the industrial and commercial zones in the governorate, also the agricultural projects in the Western Desert.
